I filmed and produced a video of “The GAX 100 Mi I filmed and produced a video of “The GAX 100 Miles 2023” – That movie is as of this moment live on YouTube (link in bio)!!!

As I wasn’t able to run the race myself this year, I equipped myself with a camera and followed the runners along the 163 km long route – a course I came to love after last year’s race.

This is my first movie I have ever filmed or produced. I did so many things wrong and I learnt so much during the race – but it was really fun. In the end, the movie turned out better than I expected. I guess that’s good with very low expectations when doing something 😊

So, if you have 15 minutes to spare, watch the trailer and head over to YouTube to find the full version. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks to @gax100miles, @skaneleden, @ystadskommun and @visitystadosterlen for making this race possible.

No #tjörnarparen for me 🐗🏃‍♂️😥 Th No #tjörnarparen for me 🐗🏃‍♂️😥

They say the third time's the charm, but when it comes to Tjörnarparen and me, that's not true.

In 2021, the race was moved due to covid-19. In 2022, I was sick and never got ready to start. Now I'm injured and throwing in the towel for 2023...

My right foot is not alright. I'm not yet sure exactly what is wrong, but a good guess is plantar fasciit. But it doesn't explain all symptoms either.

I'm getting some professional eyes to look at it on Thursday. Hopefully, that can put more light on it.

(As of now, I'm running a little bit every second day and doing alternative training + strength the other days. It works, and I might be moving in the right direction...)

28 km - the first part of #tjörnarparen 🏃‍♂️🐗

I arrived at Tjörnarp 9:30 for a meet-up. The cold wind got us moving right away, but it didn't take long until the forest swallowed the wind.

We found ourselves in the peaceful trails, and then suddenly in the middle of nowhere, off the tracks with only the watch navigation telling us we were on the right track.

It will be interesting to race through those parts in February 😅

Nice trails, good company and close to perfect weather sums up a great day 🏃‍♂️🌲❄️☀️

Thank you @mayakylen @pekerot @matsbergenhorn @valawik 🙌😁

Magical afternoon run during sunset in winter land Magical afternoon run during sunset in winter landscape ❄️🥰 Spooky fog, too 👻

My running hasn't been flawless since the 5 h race (now 4 weeks ago). A little bit of knee problem, low motivation, and other hiccups have affected my training in a negative way.

Hopefully, it will sort itself out during the last weeks of December with only 2 months until #tjörnarparen 50 miles.

Markusloppet 5h -> 51 km in a beautiful snowy land Markusloppet 5h -> 51 km in a beautiful snowy landscape 🏃‍♂️❄️🥰

Started out fast, way too fast. It was fun to stay in reach of the leading pack but I quickly let them go. Caught up with them again after 7 km when they had taken a wrong turn and lost several minutes.

Continuing south from #knivsåsen towards #romeleåsen the gap kept increasing and eventually they were gone. But what a perfect time for a photo break (4 & 5).

The climb up to #romeleklint was tough. I tried not to waste too much energy in my steps as I had already burnt more than enough.

After 17 km a water station was supposed to be. I never found it. I never saw it on my way back either. Thankfully 2 hikers from Genarp gave me some refills 🥰

I continued on and passed #Kullatorpet and thought to myself "nice to know the trails so I don't have to think/look where I'm going" 100m later my watch reminds me of turning right. And I do... but too soon... I watch the snowy tracks and only a MTB-track is showing. I wonder how all others in front me ran wrong when it suddenly hits me "if you're 6th place in a race and you don't see tracks in the snow you might actually be the one on the wrong path..." and so I was. I like how confident I was at first. Obviously everyone else is wrong 🙈🤣

Back on track it was downhill running to Genarp and then back out south again on the hiking trails.

At 2 h 23 min I started walking and reported my position (turn point), turned around and started to run back.

It was no longer a comfortable feeling running and I didn't give myself huge wiggle room here as the elevation is higher on the way back.

Passing the peaks on #romeleåsen once again was really tough and you get rewarded with very steep stony down hill that is hard to run and then a new inclination.

At this point I put the earbuds into my ear and let the rock music carry me forward, passing #thelodge and soon Björnstorp. Cramp feelings found its way to my thighs and the race was getting into the brutal zone with 10 km to go.

I somehow stayed on course arriving 4:59:52 avoiding penalties by 8s (according to my watch).

Happy with my distance but now I will need some rest 😝

Race Weekend - I'm ready! Let's go! 🏃‍♂️🙌

Markusloppet - 5h race on Sunday at 10 am. We will start at Skrylle heading south following the official hiking trails of #skåneleden as far as we dare to go.

The goal is to go furthest and get back in time within 5h. Distance penalty of 1 km per 1 min will be applied making it the worst race for all time optimists (🙋‍♂️)

Markusloppet is a very small local race and I think we're around 20 ultra runners starting this year. Usually the registration process is tougher than the race itself with it's unique approach with quizes, quests and missions to complete in order to win a spot 😅

For me this will be a nice leg stretcher and I'm doing it to have fun and meet legends. That doesn't mean I will hold back much though. I'm looking forward to let the legs work and speed through the landscape 🤘

This will be my last race this year as I will focus on #tjörnarparen 50 miles in February.

Plenty of leafs left their grip on the trees and sailed away in the strong wind for new adventures.

My next adventure is not far away now. On Sunday a small local 5 h race takes place in these trails. The weather report also hints of the first day's of winter ☀️❄️

Forced myself to an easy start, continuing with a comfortable pace while enjoying the paths around Lund. Thank you @lundrunt for a nice event.

It was nice to see so many familiar faces but I also missed a couple. Hope to catch you next time 🙌

The race started at 9 am and I'm not a morning person. Being late I aimed for a parking spot that I knew had free spots. But the walking path under the train tracks were blocked. I quickly jumped back into the car, drove around and found a parking spot! I then ran to the start, arriving with 1 min to go before start 🙈🏁
